As we write this, DJ Sabotage is most likely on his way to Los Angeles, where he'll compete in the finals of Scion's Hypeman contest. What's a hypeman, you ask? Flavor Flav may be the most famous hypeman, but you definitely can't forget folks like Spliff Star (Busta Rhymes's hypeman), Fatman Scoop (original party starter) and DJ Kool, whose "Let Me Clear My Throat" is pretty much the essence of what a hypeman is all about. Footage from last year's competition, judged by SKillz, DJ Clark Kent and Anthony Marshall (founder of Lyricist Lounge), is at the Scion Hypeman contest website. Prepare to laugh your arse off. While we're not sure what Sabotage's competition looks like, we do know that another Denverite, Hypeman P, is also competing in the finals this week. We always root for the home town, so we'll let you know the results. Check out Sabotage's audition after the jump.
