Not long ago, Runsfasterscared signed with Forgotten Empire Records — a good match for the band, considering the label’s focus on over-the-edge experimental metal. Apparently, the marriage has been a good one: The Pueblo-based five-piece has been grinding away in the studio and is set to release a new full-length later this spring before savaging the nation with a summer-long tour. Expect the new platter to be chock-full of the group’s characteristic switch-em-up time signatures, metalesque hooks and forays into angry, post-hardcore thrash. You can pre-order the release now and wait for forever, or just catch Pueblo’s darlings of angst this Sunday, March 22, when they deliver their own world of hurt at One Eyed Jacks.
