Holy shit! Brace yourself, as this might just be one of the coolest show announcements we've ever heard. Ever. To commemorate the tenth anniversary of Who Will Survive, and What Will Be Left of Them, Murder by Death is playing a show at the Stanley Hotel in Estes Park (yes, The Shining!) on Friday, January 17, and Saturday, January 18.

Tickets are on sale now via Axs.com and MurderByDeath.com, but you'd better act quickly. There are only 300 tickets available per night to see the veteran Westword Music Showcase performers, and each ticket includes a signed, numbered screen-printed poster and ticket. There are no fees; it's $50 all in, and tickets will be mailed two weeks in advance. For a 20% discount on hotel room rates, use promo code WHOWILLSURVIVE.

Keep Westword Free... Since we started Westword, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Denver, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering Denver with no paywalls.
