Fathers Day is a time to show some appreciation for your old man -- and a chance to make up for all the money youve borrowed, ulcers youve caused and hairs youve turned gray. Of course, it can be difficult to find new ways to express your feelings from year to year. Luckily, the folks at the Pikes Peak International Raceway realize that nothing says love: like father and child sharing the experience of seeing loud, testosterone-driven cars race around a track. On Sunday, June 18, the raceway will present its fourth annual Fathers Day speedfest, the Radisson Indy 200. Its an automotive event that promises plenty of high-velocity happenings: Last years winner averaged an event-record speed of 134.111 mph during the 200-lap race. The real action just might start after the race, though, when a live set from Big Head Todd & the Monsters should keep Daddys wheels turning.
