$20,000

Looking for something fun, free and freezing to do on New Year’s Eve? Join the City’s Denver Millennium Celebration, an evening of outdoor events along the 16th Street Mall. Beginning at 8 p.m., two concert stages at Glenarm Place (Denver Pavilions) and 17th Street and Arapahoe will host performances from the Hazel Miller Band, Lannie Garrett, Conjunto Colores and Nina Storey. Also there to entertain will be street performers roaming the length of the mall. At 11:58 p.m., on the dot, fireworks by Frenchman Pierre-Alain Hubert will light up the sky, centered over the D&F Tower. Mon dieu! Also sponsored by the city is free admission to most area museums and attractions.
