T-Model Ford ain’t a car. T-Model Ford is a living reminder of the power of Delta blues, and he must be mentioned among greats like Junior Kimbrough and R.L. Burnside. Ford was plowing fields by eleven and worked at the local sawmill before drifting in and out of trouble; he didn’t pick up a guitar until he turned 57. This old blues man is gnarled by time and experience, and his sparse, stomp-inducing, wailing blues have made him legendary. Ford played the All Tomorrow’s Parties festival in New York, where he was among the bands hand-picked by filmmaker Jim Jarmusch, and now he brings his brand of blues to Colorado.
