The best EDM in Denver this weekend

SAT| JUSTIN JAY at VINYL | 1/18/14 There's a certain freshness that newcomers bring to any scene they infiltrate, especially if they grew up in a completely different era. That's exactly what Jay is doing for house music. The teenager, who isn't even old enough to drink in some of the Los Angeles clubs where he's been performing, taps into his classical piano background for the house music he creates. Those tracks, bolstered by hip-hop samples and infused with a modern dance sensibility, will make house music veterans sit up and take notice, especially for the way in which he weaves insistent forward-thinking beats into the grooves and melodies. He's provided mixes for Dirtybird and has handcrafted an assortment of tracks that are gaining traction everywhere.
