As you should all know by now, P.U.N.C.H.I.S. has been bringing the best underground techno to Beta’s Beatport Lounge every Friday, and this week’s show will be no exception: The Missing Link is headlining, and he’ll no doubt be serving up glitchy techno to keep the dance floor moving. The Link (aka Matt Cavender) is the youngest of three brothers and received his nickname as a child; he also had a childhood fascination with electronics and musical gear. He’s been producing tracks since 1997, and he uses no samples, creating his own sounds that are then incorporated into his production — a very rare approach in this day and age. On Friday, October 21, the Missing Link (who also releases on the Emote label) will hold down the Beatport Lounge with Sequence; dubstep impresario Distance will headline the main floor of Beta.
