Attention all metalheads, craft beer lovers, and tattoo collectors: The first-ever UNHINGED Festival is coming to Denver’s National Western Stockyards on Saturday, July 26, and Sunday, July 27, and you don’t want to miss out on this one-of-a-kind event.
UNHINGED Fest is a music and tattoo festival presented by AEG Presents Rocky Mountains in collaboration with Brew Ha Ha Productions, the group behind award-winning beer-centric events and festivals like Punk In The Park, Punk in Drublic Craft Beer & Music Festival, and Brightside Music Festival.
On top of featuring over 25 music acts, the fest will also host the UNHINGED Tattoo Experience, a full-scale yet entirely self-contained tattoo convention, and exclusive craft beer tasting sessions.
The inaugural UNHINGED Festival begins a new annual tradition for Colorado’s craft beer, tattooing, and music communities. Despite the ample overlap between these three groups, AEG says there’s never been an integrated celebration of all three interests like this. This fest even gives you the chance to take home a permanent souvenir from industry-leading artists (a commemorative tattoo is way cooler than your average piece of festival merch).
As the featured UNHINGED Tattoo Experience artist, Chris Núñez says, “UNHINGED doesn’t end when the music stops – it lives in ink and memory.”

More Than 25 Music Acts Over Two Days
Saturday’s headliner is Knocked Loose, a Grammy-nominated hardcore punk band hailing from Kentucky. Lamb of God, the new wave heavy metal outfit formerly known as Burn the Priest, headlines on Sunday. The lineup of musicians boasts many other high-octane bands as well, including The Dillinger Escape Plan, In This Moment, Body Count, and Power Trip.
Colorado-based acts like Khemmis, NightWraith, Necropanther, Suicide Cages, and Palehorse/Palerider will be representing for the locals, and stay tuned for more schedule announcements.
The UNHINGED Tattoo Experience
Attendees will be able to book tattoo appointments from in-demand artists arriving from around the country, and are encouraged to book with their preferred artist before the festival dates. Some onsite appointments may be available depending on individual artist schedules.
Notable attending artists include Núñez, a former judge on Ink Master, star of Miami Ink, and a prolific Japanese traditional tattoo artist. Núñez will be joined by fellow Ink Master alum Oliver Peck, owner of Elm Street Tattoo and a mainstay of American Traditional tattooing, current Ink Master judge and renowned color portraitist Nikko Hurtado, and Bill Canales, a San Diego-based master of traditional Japanese-style tattooing.
Over 100 other local and regional tattoo artists will also be taking appointments all weekend, tattooing custom art, flash, artist collaborations, and exclusive UNHINGED-theme ink.
Craft Beer Tasting Sessions
Participating breweries and craft beverage companies include BEATBOX, Ceremony Brewing, NOCA Beverages and Magnanimous Brewing, plus local favorites like Joyride Brewing, Left Hand Brewing, Ratio Beerworks, Dragon Meadery, and New Terrain Brewing Co.
