Vonnegut, nominated in the Modern Rock category of this year's Music Showcase, is down a bassist. Brian Farnsworth, who previously held down the low-end for the act, is vacating his post and heading for the Windy City, for personal and professional reasons, as he puts it in a post on the DMB. Prospective players are encouraged to reach out to frontman Ryan Gombeski. No word on when Farnsworth will play his last gig, but there's a fairly significant gap in the band's itenerary between May 30, in which the band is due at the Bluebird Theater, and a June 20 date in Laramie, Wyoming, so the smart money is on the former being his swang song.
