So if you picked up the paper this week, you’ve noticed that we added a line to the Westword Music Showcase ballot. It’s a biggie. This year, one lucky local artist will be chosen to be awarded an EP recording package from Rocky Mountain Recorders, the renowned local studio that has recorded several classic albums by Born in the Flood and the Photo Atlas, among others.

Born in the Flood – “Anthem” (from If This Thing Should Spill)

The package is geared specifically toward an EP release with enough studio time allotted to record up to four songs. Which artist will win? Well, that’s up to you. Pick up a paper and vote for your favorite act, or cast your vote online. Winner will be announced at the Showcase award ceremony at the end of June.
