The Americana titans of Wilco brought their Tour to Infinity to the Mission Ballroom in Denver on October 22. Opening with "Infinite Surprise," the first song off the band's new album, Cousin, and playing crowd favorite "Handshake Drugs" right after, Wilco set a theme for the night of alternating its new material with classics from its extensive catalogue.

The crowd obliged while frontman Jeff Tweedy encouraged more audience involvement than at most Wilco shows, bantering with the crowd. At one point, Tweedy said his voice had been feeling rough — but it sounded better when everyone was helping. He then said he needed to drink some of his Topo Chico, dropping down to one knee; he called it his Marc Anthony impression (it's unclear whether it was a reference to the Roman emperor or J.Lo’s ex-husband).

The crowd was tame throughout the entirety of the show but became more engaged after that exchange, when Wilco played one of its figurehead songs, "Jesus, Etc." The encore really brought everything together, offering three classics: "Via Chicago," "Monday" and "Outtasite."
