Record Store Day is coming up this Saturday, and stores around town have been preparing for the epic event in a variety of ways. The exclusive release list is huge, but so far, most stores aren't confirming or denying their inventory. The owner of Twist & Shout Records, Paul Epstein, confirms, "We've got so much stuff already -- it's impressive."

From the sounds of it, the other stores have followed suit and likewise have boxes and boxes of inventory ready to hit the shelves on Saturday morning. Below is a full list and breakdown of the events:

First off, a few disclaimers: all of these events are all subject to change. The inventory (where listed) is also subject to change, as different distributors are loading up different goods to different stores. So if you're looking for particular releases, you're going to have to be ready at 10 a.m. (or midnight, in the case of Angelo's) to start hitting up the stores as quickly as possible. Below you'll find a breakdown of most of the stores near Denver, but stores in Ft. Collins, Boulder, Grand Junction, Colorado Springs and beyond will all be participating as well.

Most of this content is limited edition stuff, some with pressings as low as 300, so a store's inventory is going to move quickly. It's also worthwhile to note many stores will have will have swag-bags available to those who purchase certain amounts of stuff. These are, of course, limited. For what it's worth, here are few things we're excited about picking up:

DOM - Things Change/Jesus (3-sided! 10-inch) It's a three-sided record! Who the hell cares about anything else?

The Flaming Lips - Heady Nuggs: The First 5 Warner Bros. Records 1992-2002 Mostly because these five records sound like crap on CD, but for anyone who hasn't heard Hit to Death in the Future Head you're in for a treat.

Daft Punk - Tron Soundtrack Yeah, it's just the Tron Soundtrack -- except it's enclosed in crazy containers, on clear vinyl and comes in three LPs. These things look like art pieces.

Foo Fighters Medium Rare We don't usually get unreleased full albums from major bands on Record Store Day, but alas, the Foo Fighters have dropped off a full-length LP of cover songs.

Mastodon - Live at the Aragon Have you ever seen Mastodon live? It's like watching a dragon have multiple orgasms -- hopefully they can capture that on this 2 LP/DVD set. Or you can pick up the 7-inch of Mastodon covering ZZ Top's "Just Got Paid," which also sounds awesome.

Second Spin is not technically a part of the official Record Store Day (because the title is reserved for indie stores), but that doesn't mean they won't have some of the exclusive releases. No confirmation on what that entails, but we do know they'll have vinyl and CDs and the usual grab-bag of swag. They'll also be offering a "buy two get one free" deal on everything except Blu-Rays.
