In this week’s Message column focuses upon Nerf (pictured), the program director for KTCL — and along the way, he’s credited with putting the Fray into rotation prior to the point at which the group officially signed to Epic Records. But others at the station had an even more hands-on role when it came to this decision: then assistant program director Rubin, music director Hill Jordan, and Alf, the longtime new and local music champion at the outlet.
