Cannabis Calendar, September 8 Edition: Pot Classes and Yoga Retreats

The shorter week brings a slimmer slate of events for this week's Cannabis Calendar, but pot-loving yogis might want to mark their datebooks for some classes and a mountain retreat later this month.

Clover Leaf University is teaching an Advanced Master Grower Techniques class at 4 p.m. Thursday, September 10, in the offices at 3888 East Mexico Avenue. The class, taught by master growers in the industry, will instruct students on the advanced methods of large cannabis-cultivation systems. Register for $299 on the CLU course page.

Grow Hemp Colorado is hosting a public meeting on current and future hemp-industry and legal issues on Saturday, September 12, at Shine Restaurant in Boulder. There will be a number of speakers, including representatives from the Colorado Department of Agriculture, and anyone is welcome to attend for $10. Learn more and register at the Grow Hemp Colorado website.

Local artist Heidi Keyes will teach her 21+ Puff, Pass and Paint class at 7 p.m. Saturday, September 12, at 2087 South Grant Street. All equipment is included in the $50 fee, and although cannabis consumption (bring your own) is encouraged, it's not required. Go to the Puff, Pass and Paint website for more information.

Clover Leaf University will teach a Cannabis Business Compliance Regulation 101 class on Tuesday, September 15, from 4 to 8 p.m. at 3888 East Mexico Avenue. The accredited course teaches students about Colorado's medical and retail marijuana codes, following strict guidelines to stay compliant, and industry-specific technology. Registration is $299 on the CLU course page.

On Wednesday, September 16, Green Labs will host Bend and Blaze – a free, 21+ yoga class with optional cannabis consumption – from 5:15 to 6:30 p.m. Participants must register on the Bend and Blaze eventbrite page

Twisted Sister Yoga will host its Cannabis-Friendly Mountain Yoga Retreat from Wednesday, September 16, to Sunday, September 20. After a short class to prepare you for the weekend at Twister Sister Yoga Studio, guests will receive a tour of DANK's marijuana cultivation facility and information about pot-infused products. Then it's up to a mountain home in the Rockies for four days of yoga, nature and cannabis. Each $1,200-$1,300 ticket includes lodging, meals, yoga classes and transportation. Learn more at the retreat's eventbrite page.
