Connor Capel: $5,000 reward offered in case victim who suffered "obvious trauma" (No. 18)

An autopsy is scheduled today as part of the investigation into the death of Connor D. Capel, 22, discovered on the lawn of a house on the 700 block of North Emporia Street in Aurora early Saturday morning. Thus far, all the Aurora Police Department is saying about the cause of death is that his body suffered "obvious trauma."

Homicide: $5000.00 Reward Offered

The homicide victim found in the 700 block of North Emporia Street has been identified as 22-year-old Aurora resident Connor D. Capel. He suffered obvious trauma to his body. The death is being investigated as a homicide.

A photograph of Mr. Capel is attached. He was 5"6' tall and weighed 160 pounds.

The Aurora Police Department is offering a reward of up to $5000.00 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for the homicide.

Homicide: $5000.00 Reward Offered

At approximately 8:05 a.m.on Saturday, September 04, 2010, Aurora Public Safety Communications received a 911 call requesting a welfare check on a male lying in the yard of a residence in the 700 block of North Emporia Street.

Responding officers found a deceased Black Male, and Major Crimes/Homicide investigators were called to the scene. The death is being investigated as a homicide.

Investigators are withholding victim identification information pending notification of family members.

The Aurora Police Department is offering $5000.00 in reward money for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for the homicide.
