Dead body found in Aurora near Chambers & Yale: Open space area a "crime scene" (68)

At this writing, representatives of the Aurora Police Department are combing an open space area near the intersection of Chambers Road and Yale Avenue following the discovery of a dead body just shy of 7 p.m. last night.

The APD's Detective Bob Friel terms the death "suspicious" and identifies the patch of ground in question a "crime scene."

Darkness prevented investigators from getting much done last night. As such, APD personnel guarded the scene overnight. At daybreak, investigators and detectives from the departments crime scene unit were scheduled to return to a spot near the area depicted in the interactive graphic below.
