Denver International Airport is experiencing flight delays and cancellations as snow falls on Wednesday, November 27, a day before Thanksgiving.
According to Flight Aware’s Misery Map, the Denver airport currently leads the country in delayed flights, at 128. Over 200 flights out of DIA were delayed earlier this morning. Flight Aware doesn’t report any upcoming cancellations at DIA at the moment, however, with just two flights canceled earlier than 1 p.m.
After the Colorado mountains were hit with a flurry of snowstorms Wednesday morning, the Denver area experienced light but consistent snow and temperatures below 32 degrees. According to the National Weather Service, snow will linger “through early afternoon” around Denver, with clearer skies expected on Thanksgiving.
Flight Aware doesn’t report any upcoming cancellations at DIA at the moment, with just two flights canceled as of 1 p.m.

“For Denver and the I-25 corridor, there will be snow showers this morning with accumulations of 1 to 3 inches on grassy areas. Roads will be mostly wet, but some slush is possible under heavier showers,” the NWS adds.
The official Denver airport X account warned travelers of potential flight cancellations and delays earlier this morning, advising them to check with their airlines before heading to DIA in the snow.
