The Tesla CEO and world's richest man is not very popular in Colorado, which has become an epicenter for Elon Musk opposition. A December poll found that more than half of Colorado voters had an unfavorable view him — and that was before he led President Donald Trump's Department of Government Efficiency in slashing tens of thousands of federal jobs, impacting thousands of workers in the Centennial State.
As Musk's influence on the U.S. government inspires growing unease, some Coloradans are protesting at Tesla dealerships...and Attorney General Pam Biondi is prosecuting one federally. In their comments on the Westword Facebook post, readers have plenty to say about Elon Musk's cars, and the man himself. Says Marty:
People who properly value the Constitution don't care for Elon and don't really want to be associated with him.Replies Rj:
Apparently there is way too much enjoyment of the waste of your tax dollars. Can you be any more ignorant?Suggests Jeremy:
Be the real change and trade it in.Responds Jennie:
Turned in the swasticar today! We rebuke Elon, not his cars (we actually loved ours). Will find another EV in the future but refuse to support his corrupt takeover of our government. No one man should have that much power.Adds Randal:
When you don’t like someone, the thing to do would be to not give them any attention. Never make yourself an advertising banner for someone you don’t like.Offers Christopher:
Destroying property, particularly private property, is completely insane. You will accomplish nothing.Responds Marco:
What do you know? Liberals are idiots and terrorists, too.Notes Jeremy:
My’s neighbors truck mysteriously disappeared and now there’s a new VW bus. Much better on the eyes.Concludes Chica Rod:
Man, maybe I can get one now on the cheap.

Protests at Tesla dealerships have been reported across the country, including a handful in Colorado.
