The Denver Sheriff Department is inviting city employees and select guests (who can pass a criminal background check) to Downtown’s new Van Cise-Simonet Detention Facility for a one-night-only slumber party…
Check-In: Division Chiefs Elias Diggins and Marie Kielar, along with Deputy Sheriff Susan Berig (above, far right), will greet City Councilwoman Carol Boignon with a complete fingerprint, mugshot and cavity search welcome.
Look below for more bonding behind bars:
Lineup: After a tour of the new jail, Deputy Sheriff Dean Howard (above left) will treat city employees Anthony Aragon (Office on Aging), David T. Roberts (Mayor’s Office), Jason Cramer (Police Department) and Kendry Jackson (Fire Department) to a Pruno* Tasting.
*Pruno is a homemade jailhouse hooch made out of old fruit and crackers.
Lockdown: The sexes will be segregated after 7 P.M., when Becky Wareing (above, in scarf) will kick off Create Denver Week by teaching guests like Susan Greene (Denver Post), Roxane White (Mayor’s Office) and Linda Madone (Police Department) how to create and market their jailhouse art.
Lights Out: Midnight. Breakfast: 5:30 A.M. Release: 7:00 A.M. Sound like fun?
Reservations: 303-435-2804.
