In blogs such as November 7's "When is Marilyn Musgrave Going to Concede Defeat to Betsy Markey?" and November 25's "Marilyn Musgrave's Epic Pout Continues," I've expressed amazement and awe over outgoing Congresswoman Musgrave's steadfast refusal to publicly acknowledge defeat in last month's election. Unfortunately, though, she's finally done so, albeit to a very limited audience located far from home. As reported by the Fort Collins Coloradoan in a story that's since been picked up by other news agencies, Musgrave is heard on a robocall that targeted 200,000 potential voters in Georgia yesterday in advance of today's senatorial run-off election between Republican incumbent Saxby Chambliss and Democratic hopeful Jim Martin. In the recording, Musgrave says her doom was sealed by "leftist special interests" who "smothered the truth with vicious attacks and lies."

Does this taste of Musgrave's venom make you hungry for the whole meal? Click "More" to hear the recording. -- Michael Roberts
