We've now obtained the arrest affidavit in the case, and the level of violence it recounts is absolutely shocking.
The document, on view below along with plenty of new photos like the one seen here, maintains that Guzman's mom was stabbed 79 times.

...and this one.... ...as well as an image of her onstage with a microphone wearing a "Hello Kitty" shirt: These pics stand in stark contrast to the narrative of the Arapahoe County arrest affidavit in the case. The report states that Aurora police dispatch received a 911 call just past 10 p.m. on August 28 from Ryan Hoy, Guzman's stepfather.He told the operator that Guzman and his wife, 47-year-old Yun-Mi Hoy, were inside the bathroom of the residence at 2624 South Lima Street -- and he could see blood coming under the door.
Ryan added that police had been called earlier in the day because of ongoing strife between Guzman and her mom -- and 7News reveals that the girl's father, Robert Guzman, had spoken to her about her "teen rebelliousness" about three hours before the 911 call."I went to talk to her because her mother was worried and wanted me to talk to Isabella," Guzman told the station. "So, I went to talk to Isabella and we sat down in the backyard looking at the trees and the animals and I started to talk to her about the respect that people should have for their parents. And I was trying to let her know that she should be obedient to her parents, not rebellious, that she should try to listen more and everything was going fine.
"In the conversation, I thought that I made progress," he added. "But obviously it didn't do nothing, because hours later, this thing happened."
Continue for the latest developments in the Isabella Guzman case. Ryan was still on the phone with the 911 dispatcher as he tried to open the bathroom door, which had been locked shut. He subsequently told the operator that his wife was lying dead -- her body was near a baseball bat -- and Guzman, wearing a pink sports bra and turquoise shorts, was holding a knife.As Guzman fled, Ryan attempted to revive his wife, but to no avail. Not only had her throat been slashed, but she'd been repeatedly stabbed. By the coroner's count, she suffered 31 stab wounds to the face and an additional 48 to her neck.
Guzman was thought to have still been in the vicinity when cops rolled up, but she managed to elude capture, at least for a while. At 11:30 a.m. the next day, as we reported, officers were called to a parking garage at 2851 South Parker Road on a report of a body inside a car. Fortunately, no body was found, but police say they located items that seemed to have links to the previous evening's violence.
Once investigators made a connection to the Guzman homicide, more cops arrived and began to canvass the area. Then, someone spotted Guzman trying to walk out of the garage. But as indicated by the photo above, taken from a nearby building, she didn't get far. Update, 5:59 a.m. August 30: Yesterday, we told you about a search for eighteen-year-old Isabella Guzman, who was described as a homicide suspect; see our original coverage below. Now, the Aurora Police Department has Guzman in custody...and we know much more about the incident in question.

At about 10:05 p.m. Wednesday, August 28, as we've reported, officers received a report about what was termed a "family disturbance" at a residence on the 2600 block of South Lima Street.Upon their arrival, APD reps were met at the front door by a man who said a woman upstairs was in need of help, and that certainly proved to be the case. The adult female appeared to be in grave condition, and while emergency medical personnel were on the scene shortly thereafter, they were unable to revive her. She was pronounced dead even before she could be transported to a hospital.
Meanwhile, law enforcers released the name and photograph of Guzman, who was considered to be armed and dangerous, and launched a vigorous search that came to a head at about 11:30 a.m. yesterday, when cops were called to a parking garage at 2851 South Parker Road on a report of a body inside a car.
Fortunately, no body was found, but police say they located items that seemed to have links to the previous evening's violence. And blood was indeed shed. Original post, 5:42 a.m. August 29: The ID photo of eighteen-year-old Isabella Guzman pictures a pretty, neatly styled young woman wearing a tasteful sleeveless top. She doesn't look even slightly out of the ordinary. She could be a friend, a sister, the daughter of friends -- or of you.
At this writing, however, Guzman is the suspect in a homicide. And her whereabouts are unknown.

Meanwhile, officers were told another woman, identified as Guzman, had left the house before they reached the house, and a search of the neighborhood proved fruitless.
Police call her a suspect and say she should be considered armed and dangerous.
Guzman is characterized as being five-foot six and about 130 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. There's no description of the clothing she was wearing before hitting the road.
