The challenges facing local news organizations are very real. That's why reader support matters more than ever. If you believe independent journalism matters, make a contribution today and help us reach our summer fundraising goal of $25,000 by August 9.
Not since the grand opening of an IKEA in Centennial two years ago have consumers in the Denver metro area gone as ape for the debut of a new business as for yesterday’s twin bows of Cabela’s outlets in Thornton and Lone Tree. The crowds were huge and surprisingly diverse: There were every color of cap imaginable (some worn backwards!) and many variations on camo — plus a cameo by the Denver Broncos cheerleaders.
Check out images from the big day, culled from Cabela’s footage.
