Our item about the postponement of the 4/20 rally at Civic Center Park, which was set to feature appearances by Wiz Khalifa and Lil Wayne, proved to be a conversation starter.
As we noted, plenty of folks who shared their thoughts on the rally's Facebook page were upset by the decision to pull the plug due to inclement weather and the inability of a headliner to get to Denver — especially since the announcement was made nearly twenty minutes after the festivities were scheduled to get under way.
Some of those who weighed in about our report felt similarly.
Others were more philosophical, including this reader.
David Frias writes:
Everyone blames the city. Did Wiz or Wayne even make it to Denver? DIA was pretty shut-down. How are you going to have a concert with no one to perform?! THINK ABOUT IT. 4/20 is every day here anyhow. Smoke something and chill out.
