The concept behind Slut Walk — a march designed to show that rape is wrong no matter what a woman wears — is provocative. And the comments that have piled up on our collection of photos from this month’s event in Denver have been, too. Here’s an example that takes on the sort of sexism too many of us take for granted.

It’s interesting that while men’s social status is based on property and assets, women’s “class” is still determined by sexual behavior or availability. That said, choice of clothing does not (should not) distinguish respectable vs. non-respectable women.
