Our post of a video purporting to show UFOs over Denver — from a YouTube user who claims to see unidentified objects in the sky here on a regular basis — brought a stern response to anyone who dismisses the possibility of Visitors From Beyond as crazy talk.

We are trained to respond this way. Our government claims no interest, science eagerly ignores the subject… the media ridicules eye witnesses. We have no bench mark, no gold standard by which to judge a hoax from the genuine article. One can’t claim expertise on a subject that is by its very definition, unknown.

So, we fall back on that training and deny as a matter of first response. We will never learn the truth because the truth is not what we seek.
