Who knew the people of Denver were so passionate about reality TV? The response to Westword's Real World prank has been both lovely and livid. Mere hours after the article hit the stands, the letters started coming in, with sentiments ranging from Abbe's "brilliant, truly brilliant," to Randy's "yet another lame story by the Westword, way to alienate your city, time and time again!!" The complete text of these missives will be printed in the June 29 issue; in the meantime, Randy has been chosen as the subject of our next reality TV spoof: Confessions of a Self-Righteous Tight-Ass.

The video of our prank — compiled by local filmmakers Johnny Morehouse and Ben Kronburg — is being forwarded around Internet at mach speed; you can see it right here. And on Monday, June 26, "asshole producer" Adam Cayton Holland revealed the real story behind the fake Real World on CBS4.

Really. -- Jared Jacang Maher
