Top 10 mug shots from 2010 of celebrities and notables

We're almost ready to unveil our top mug shots of 2010, after sharing galleries of women, tattoos, bad hair and accused teachers and caretakers. But as one last tease, check out booking photos of the famous and infamous that appeared here this year. Some you'll immediately recognize. Others -- like the Western Slope DA, the ER doctor, the TV reporter and the John Elway Ponzi schemer-- may take a minute. To learn more about all of them, click on their names and read our original posts. More from our Colorado Crimes archive: "Top 5 face-and-neck tattoos of 2010" and "The 15 most wanted sex offenders in Boulder County: A mug shot gallery."

Support the independent voice of Denver and help keep the future of Westword free.

Keep Westword Free... Since we started Westword, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Denver, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering Denver with no paywalls.
