Support the independent voice of Denver and help keep the future of Westword free.

Just got word of an intriguing Tweetup for photographers via @The BigKlosowski. It's taking place August 31 on the top, unfinished floor of the in-progress Four Seasons Tower downtown. From up there, you'll get some unparalleled views of the city, the mountains and, if you're prone to vertigo, perhaps your stomach contents hurtling into space. There's no charge to be part of this historic tweeting (sorry, I could not resist), but remember, it's aimed at photographers, so at least borrow your roommate's battered SLR if you're going to go. Admission is limited to twenty five, so you'd better act quickly. RSVP at the EventBright page and send us links to your photos.

Keep Westword Free... Since we started Westword, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Denver, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering Denver with no paywalls.
