Original post: It's sadly predictable that the return of warm weather frequently brings with it shocking violence.
That was certainly the case in Denver this weekend.
Four people were killed in three separate incidents.
We'll tell you about a homicide near Pontiac and MLK, and another one close to the intersection of Race and Bruce Randolph, in separate posts. But here are the details about a double-shooting in the Lowry neighborhood that began the bloodshed.
The first official word from the Denver Police Department came via this tweet during the early morning hours of Sunday, March 15:
Breaking: Shooting at 6700 Blk of E Cedar Ave 2 victims, one fatal one transported. No suspect info. We will update as info is available.

Turns out the actual address of the incident was 240 South Monaco, the address of the Lex at Lowry apartment complex. That area is captured in the following interactive graphic. Breaking Update: Shooting at 6700 Blk of E Cedar the second victim died at the Hosp. No suspect info. We will update as info is available.

Additional information is supplied by 7News.According to the station, the incident took place around 12:40 a.m.
In the beginning, police were called to the scene as a result of a noise complaint.
The person who called thought the racket had been caused by fireworks.
Instead, gunshots were to blame.
In addition, said one person at the scene, "my roommate heard people screaming."
What spurred the tragedy? The investigation is currently focusing on a party at the apartment complex.
Presumably, some attendees got into a beef outside the building — and that's when the bullets started to fly.
Thus far, all we know about the victims is that they were two adult males.
Their identities will be released by the Denver coroner's office after next of kin is notified.
In the meantime, no arrests have been made in the case and no suspect information has been released.
