Some call it a natural evolution in adrenaline-fueled extreme sports; others would characterize it more of a athletic mutation — like that duck born with four legs. Either way it had to happen, eventually: extreme unicycling. The sport includes down hill mountain riding — dubbed “MUni” — or distance unicycling. But it appears the urban terrain is where the real action is. Just check out this video of local freestyle practitioner Rick Redmond one-wheeling it around the Denver Skatepark (follow the link below). Once you get beyond the inherent lameness of the unicycle, even the most cynical skaterboarders and BMXers have to admit that some these tricks are pretty damn impressive.
