Whole Foods in Cherry Creek is holding an Ingredient Education Workshop today from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Join Jasmine Birlew, molecular biologist turned cook, and learn the science behind ingredients and the art of eating healthy. As part of the Voices Women+Film Festival, Sie FilmCenter will be screening Soul of a Banquet today at 8 p.m. Directed by Wayne Wang, Soul of a Banquet takes viwers into the world of Cecilia Chiang, the woman who introduced America to authentic Chinese food. In 1961 Chiang opened The Mandarin in San Francisco, and she went on to change the course of cuisine in America. Tickets are $12 or $10 for Denver Film Society members; get them tickets here.
