Pickle people, listen up. A local company has a new product that will have you dreaming of all the things you can spike with pickle juice, from cocktails to marinades and brines for meat.

I love going to local bars for pickle shots and sipping boozy options like the Dirty Dill's ready-to-drink pickle shots with friends, but now there's a new way to get pickled: The Real Dill just launched 16-ounce jars of Pickle Juice which are now available online and in retail locations.

While there are other pickle juice options on the market, many fall flat flavor-wise. In an attempt to stop collecting brine-less jars of pickles after using up the juice to make martinis and other boozy beverages,  I've ordered a number of those other pickle juices in the past, only to be left disappointed.

I'm also a longtime fan of the Real Dill. The company was founded in Denver in 2012 by friends Justin Park and Tyler DuBois. Over a decade later, its a local pickle leader. While it still makes actual dill pickles in flavors such as Caraway Garlic, Habanero Horseradish and Jalapeno Honey, it created a big hit when it launched Bloody Mary Mix in 2013.

The launch of Pickle Juice marks a new phase for the company, which has other new products in the works, too. “We’re still making pickles, but on a smaller scale," Park, who is also the company's president, says in a press release. "We like to think we’re now pickle-adjacent and these premium mixes will rival the best scratch-made cocktails."

The Real Dill's Pickle Juice is made with all natural ingredients including fresh cucumber and dill. “Pickle Juice is everything but the crunch,” notes DuBois. “While other pickle juice and pickle brine products are glorified vinegar water with preservatives that offer a synthetic taste, our version is made with fresh ingredients so it tastes exactly like what's at the bottom of your pickle jar.”

Along with pickle martinis, pickle shots and pickle backs, the company suggests using it for pickle margs and vodka sodas, or as a culinary ingredient. You can also sip it straight "and enjoy the naturally occurring electrolytes as part of your fitness recovery routine," it adds.

On Saturday, April 5, the Real Dill will be celebrating the launch of Pickle Juice at the Horseshoe Lounge (414 East 20th Avenue). From 3 to 7 p.m., fans can stop by to try the product in various drinks; there will also be samples and giveaways throughout the afternoon.
