Support the independent voice of Denver and help keep the future of Westword free.
Unless you were a super early bird, you probably missed this morning's giveaways at Denver's newest Panera Bread. Today, during its grand opening, the cafe gave away "mystery" gift cards -- worth anywhere from $5 to $50 -- to its first 100 customers.
That doesn't mean you can't still score some free stuff from the new drive-thru location at 2466 South Colorado Boulevard. If you stop by the store before 9.m. today, you'll get a free cinnamon crunch bagel.
The restaurant, situated in University Hills Plaza next to an as-yet-unopened Garbanzo Mediterranean Grill, is Colorado's twenty-eighth Panera Bread location, its fifth in Denver.
It's open Monday through Thursday from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Friday and Saturday from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.; and Sunday from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. For more information, dial 720-274-1010.
Keep Westword Free... Since we started Westword, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Denver, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering Denver with no paywalls.
