Chef Pino Saverino closed his Italian restaurant in Cherry Hills Village earlier this year for a remodel and expansion as well as a slight name change. Pino's Place is now open at 1400 East Hampden Avenue, once again serving lunch and dinner to the neighborhood around Swedish Medical Center, on the edge of Englewood.

The highlights of the new design are a full bar with about fourteen seats, a chef''s counter with another half-dozen, and a warm new dining room with polished concrete floors, modern lighting and sleek leather chairs. The restaurant is open daily from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., and the owner says that even once-slow Mondays are now busy. Check the restaurant's website for an expanded menu and a schedule of Sunday cooking classes, the first of which will be held on July 17. Keep reading for a few more photos.
