Colorado's newest Sunflower location at 8557 East Arapahoe Road in Greenwood Village, will open at a bleary-eyed 6:45 a.m. on Wednesday, June 23. The first 200 customers will get a free bag of groceries worth over $50 (with the purchase of something in the store). There will be samples available in the afternoon, live music and kids' activities going down throughout the day. It's going to be a regular old jamboree.
You can snag some additional deals via Sunflower's website by signing up for a "grand opening sale flyer," which will also be available at the store on opening day.
Eager jobseekers, take note: Sunflower's representative says things are pretty well taken care of in the employee department, so don't come knocking -- at least on our door -- like y'all did when we posted that incoming supermarket SmartCo would be opening a number of outposts in the state.
The Boulder-based Sunflower plans to open another store in Longmont by the end of the year. The Greenwood Village location is the grocery chain's thirtieth outpost, which will be open daily from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
