It's been a long trial, and former University of Colorado professor Ward Churchill probably needs a mental break from his wrongful-termination lawsuit against the school (a case that has gone to the jury and could wrap up as early as today).

And what better place to loosen your mind than at The Psychedelic Experience: Rock Posters From the San Francisco Bay Area, 1965 to 1971 at the Denver Art Museum, which is just blocks from the Denver County Courthouse. The show, which opened March 21, features more than 250 posters of experimental artwork from the era.

The blockbuster exhibit has been a mecca for aging hippies, stoners and, uh, free thinkers. And a Westword spy reports seeing Churchill -- or a convincing doppelgänger -- standing in line for tickets Wednesday afternoon with several friends or colleagues.

Talk about chickens coming home to roost!
