Student-recorded fight videos are becoming a new favorite on local TV news. Less than two weeks after Fox31 offered a report about Maria Plazola, who allegedly rooted on her daughter in a brawl instead of stopping the fisticuffs (something that got the Denver Police Department's attention), 9News is sharing a punch-happy clip featuring Lake Middle School students.

The footage isn't exactly hot off the Internet. As 9News acknowledges, it was posted back in January and had collected fewer than 700 page views at press time -- likely due to the incredible proliferation of such videos on the site. Indeed, one of the students quizzed by the station actually had video of another fight on his phone.

Talk about an endless source of material.

Look below to see the 9News version of the original clip, with faces blurred, as well as its complete story.
