Lobster mac-n-cheese? Check. Cinnamon bread pudding? Check. These two dishes are standbys at the long-running Hornet diner on Broadway, and they're making another appearance in miniature form at DISH 2014. The cheese sauce is made from fontina, cheddar and fresh cream, tossed with bacon, lobster claw and knuckle meat, and topped with panko breadcrumbs. As a sweet rejoinder, the Hornet crew is also bringing back its signature bread pudding, made with ciabatta bread and plenty of cinnamon.
And while the Hornet is famous for its make-your-own Bloody Mary bar during weekend brunch, you won't have to go without: DISH diners will have the chance to make their own Bloody at the event, ourtesy of Deep Eddy Vodka.
Pasta and pudding are just a few of dozens of offerings you'll find at DISH, which runs from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, September 7. (VIP entrance is at 11 a.m.) To see what else is in store and buy tickets for our culinary celebration's twentieth anniversary, visit the 2014 DISH site.
