Photos: Ten highest snow totals in metro Denver this season

Hard to believe, but earlier this week, most of Denver was covered with snow. But while there’s still a chance of more snowfall, the season’s pretty much over — and overall, the totals weren’t all that impressive. The average snowfall in Denver each year is 57.5 inches, but this year, according to data shared by CBS4, we managed just 38.4.

In some parts of metro Denver, though, there was more snow — several feet more, with one location monitored by the folks at the Community Collaborative Rain, Hail and Snow Network going well over 100 inches. We’ve collected the CoCoRaHS top ten below, accompanied by random Colorado snow photos from Flickr Creative Commons. Count them down below.
