This claim garnered a lot of push-back from our commentators.
Indeed, the assorted takes the post spurred included a considerable amount of RTD love.
And according to this correspondent, the love flows both ways.

It’s probably safer to get in an inevitable accident with a drunken driver riding on a bus. I’ve been riding Denver public transit for a solid 10 years and have never had an issue. In fact riding the 0 and the 15 pretty much accounts for all of the dates I’ve been asked out on.
