On the art side, the space will showcase New York-based installation artist E.V. Day, who's known for assemblage work using unusual materials to address issues of gender roles and pop culture. A part of Swap Meet: Artpace and the Dikeou Collection, a gallery exchange with San Antonio's Artpace, Day's show will remain on view in the space through December 30; the rest of the art exchange can be seen simultaneously at the downtown location. As for the party, it's the public debut of another side of the Dikeou Collection: its sprawling, eclectic, meticulously catalogued trove of vinyl records, which, in the hands of spin-sters Jeremy "Sinistarr" Howard and Dave Wilkinson of Wax Trax, will provide entertainment and wonder. Don't be afraid to make a request! Refreshments and a food truck will also be on hand. Admission is free; find more information on the Facebook event page .
