Honor Society, chef-restaurateur Justin Brunson’s latest enterprise, opens today at 10:30 a.m. for lunch and dinner on the stretch of 16th Street between Union Station and the Millennium Bridge. The “fast fine” eatery combines counter service with a chef-designed menu to deliver farm-fresh food (from the same sources as Brunson’s Old Major) in a casual environment.
Honor Society will also eventually open for breakfast at 7 a.m., serving acai bowls, breakfast burritos, organic yogurt parfaits and fruit smoothies. For this week at least, though, the restaurant will be open from 10:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. A full bar offers a range of batched and handmade cocktails, wines and local beers.
Along with Old Major, Brunson operates two Masterpiece Delicatessen locations and will soon open Masterpiece Kitchen in Lowry. See our First Look at Honor Society for more photos of the food and interior.
Will you step up to support Westword this year?
At Westword, we’re small and scrappy — and we make the most of every dollar from our supporters. Right now, we’re $22,000 away from reaching our December 31 goal of $50,000. If you’ve ever learned something new, stayed informed, or felt more connected because of Westword, now’s the time to give back.
