Carm & Gia Metropolitan

This mid-mod joint opened in a refurbished beauty parlor in February 2020, offering juicy burgers, hot dogs and breakfast burritos. Its first two years were fraught, though, as it weathered the height of the COVID pandemic only to fall victim to a fire in June 2021 that resulted in a seven-month closure. But it reopened in March 2022 with the same burgers we fell for two years ago. Go classic with the Metropolitan, or choose from a list of burgers named for Denver neighborhoods. The Globeville, for example, comes loaded with chorizo, pico de gallo, lettuce, jalapeños, Monterey Jack, avocado and chipotle mayo. Whichever option you choose, be ready for bold flavors and beefy goodness from 100 percent, never-frozen Angus patties.
