In early 2013, Dulce Vida moved into the Golden Triangle space left vacant by the Cherokee Grill, which closed after a 28-year-run. Jason Tietjen, of the Dive Inn, bought the building with partners and transformed it into a place that Tietjen says walks the walks the fine line between bar and restaurant. Although when it comes down to it, Dulce Vida is currently more of a neighborhood bar than a restaurant, complete with giant TVs and games, the owners don't take short cuts with the food.
