Shake Shack

The famed burger chain opened its first Colorado location in March 2018 to a mile-high mountain of hype and lines out the door of its Larimer Street outpost. It would be easy to dismiss the New York-based outfit as just another carpetbagger in a covered wagon, except that it turns out solid burgers at a great price. From the blend of sirloin, short rib and brisket that makes up each patty to the pillowy bun so soft that it would lull you off to sweet (and savory) dreams if only it were large enough to hold your head, the hamburgers that come off the flat top are delicious and satisfying, a step above the typical fast-food offering but not a fussy culinary deconstruction. This is one transplant we welcome with open arms.
