Dear Stoner: Why aren't there larger pre-rolls at dispensaries? I'm not talking about two or three grams. I want a dig ol' bick of a pre-roll — something with an ounce stuffed in there. Even ten grams would do.

Dear Queenie: A pre-roll deserving of a size queen, if you will. I largely avoid pre-rolls and roll my own, but it's a good question. Most liquor stores have gargantuan bottles of bubbly, and lord knows I've seen enough obscenely large joints at cannabis events. It's not like there are laws against one-ouncers, either.

There are no laws against selling half-ounce joints or even pre-rolls with a full ounce stuffed inside, but the vast majority of Colorado dispensaries don't carry them.

The daily recreational sales limit at Colorado dispensaries is one ounce of flower, which is more than enough to stuff into these elephant-dick-sized doinks you seek. Bulk deals for 28 one-gram joints are also easy to find. But novelty-sized joints are too expensive and carry too much weed for most dispensaries to risk wasting, according to the growers I talk to. Made in Xiaolin is the only company I know of making monster dispensary pre-rolls in Colorado, with twelve-gram cannagars (two of those grams being rosin) as well as six- and three-gram joints sold at various dispensaries.
