From political protests and wildfires to more record-breaking heat, it's been one uncomfortable summer across the board. Cooling down now often requires more than a dip in the pool or lemonade in the shade. You need the right state of mind, and these five Colorado cannabis products are here to help you get there.
Single Source Fish Eyes
Several talented extractors are doing their own versions (and names) of rosin thumbprints, so I was happy to see Single Source, a true Colorado cannabis brand from fly-fishing-lovers Kennn Wall and Tony Karas, enter the arena with its own twist. Dubbed Fish Eyes, these hefty rosin jars include one gram each of Single Source's award-winning rosin jam and cold cure hash, and pay homage to a hobby so many Coloradans (and hash heads) enjoy. Throw a glob in the e-rig while you're next to the river, and enjoy.
Green Dot Labs FAFO
As someone constantly searching for the next great batch of petrol, FAFO (short for exactly what you think it means) was a welcome surprise. The hybrid of Underdawg OG and Han Solo Burger from Green Dot Labs was an uppercut to the chin the second I opened the jar, and an even stronger haymaker in my Volcano. Equally stanky and distinct, the fermented garlic and gasoline fumes combine for one delightful stoner aroma — the kind that makes you do a giddy little happy dance in front of your coffee table on a Friday afternoon. I put this up there with Thunderdome, another first-ballot hall-of-fumer from Green Dot.
Dialed In's New Selection
Rosin gummy OG Dialed In took its time to enter the multi-cannabinoid edible space, but the brand's new Sleep and Focus gummies are welcome additions. Infused with five milligrams of CBD, CBN and THC, the Sleep line is just as tasty as Dialed In's other gummies, as are the Focus chews, made with five milligrams of CBD, THC and THCV. Low tolerances will find the highs and lows of the gummies relatively easy to manage (although they do hit hard if you're not used to them).
In-House Melts Vape Pens
Dispensary shoppers have eagerly followed In House Melts for rare rosin releases, from Cran A to Cran Z. The 2025 Best of Denver winner for Best New Rosin brand can squeeze terps with the best of them, and the extractor's new half-gram vaporizer pens are off to a hot start, too. Unlike a lot of vape pens, the hits don't make me hack...unless I want to. The flavor crosses over from dab to hash pen well enough, and I expect that to only improve with time. Anything with Guava or Papaya genetics is a juicy fit for summer, with smoothie-like flavor profiles that help combat the heat.
SPCY Canna
This northern Colorado cultivation has been on fire in 2025, starting the year with a Best of Denver award for Best Up-and-Coming Grower and only getting hotter from there. Some of my favorite smokes of the year have been SPCY buds, including Chocolate Diesel, a gorgeous combo of Chocolope and Sour Diesel that lives up to the pedigree, and Super Durban, a stanky-sour-sage mix of the timeless Durban Poison and Super Silver Haze. Both produce versatile highs that are relatively low on anxiety and drowsiness, making them perfect for summer sessions outside. When it's time to cool down, break off a slice of Grapefruit Cake: a sticky, prickly and dank mix of Sundae Driver and Orange Cookies that tends to glue my head to pillows.
