Dear Greasy Spooner: It's hard to find any edibles at the dispensary that aren't gummies or some other form of colorful candy nowadays, but THC for breakfast is surprisingly easy to make. Cannabis-infused butter or cooking oil can be made at home in less than a half-day with little effort; a small number of dispensaries sell butter or olive oil infused with 100 milligrams of THC. Either way, once you get your hands on it, scrambled eggs, pancakes, waffles and many, many other dishes are within reach.

One you get more advanced, you can make infused granola for yogurt with butter or coconut oil. Infused coffee and tea drinks are relatively easy to whip up with infused dairy creamer or milk (or butter or oil, if you're into that), or you could try steeping decarboxylated cannabis inside of a tea bag. And if that's all too much effort, then you can always infuse peanut butter with hash and eat it by the scoop, or stir it in your morning oatmeal.
As far as ready-made stuff goes at the pot shop, your best bets in the morning are probably THC beverages, which range from seltzers and sodas to cold brew coffee. You can find baked goods that go well with coffee, too, and there are lower-dose edibles that come in the form of mints, oral tablets and capsules.
