Here's what's good in the Mile High City this week. On the concert front: The Fox Theatre and Boulder Theater are hosting the first annual Boulder Blues and Roots Summit. Bad Brains is coming to the Summit Music Hall in August and Blues Traveler is coming back to Red Rocks for its annual Fourth of July shindig. Meanwhile on local radio, Caleb Slade, Monroe Monroe, the Outfit and Something Underground got spins. The Boulder Theater and Fox Theatre will be hosting their first annual Boulder Blues and Roots Summit, which runs Friday, May 13 until Sunday, May 15. Sheryl Crow, Lucinda Williams, Leon Russell, Davy Knowles and William Elliott Whitmore are a few of the acts slated to headline the fest.Tickets for the Boulder Blues and Roots Summit are on sale now, and a VIP pass is also available for $325 that gets you into all the shows during the fest, a VIP entrance, reserved seating at Boulder Theater, reserved balcony seats at the Fox, limited edition silk screened poster, t-shirt and more.
Punk legends Bad Brains hit the Summit Music Hall on Friday, August 22. General admission tickets ($23) are on sale now.
Finally, Blues Traveler returns to Red Rocks for its annual Fourth of July show. Matisyahu and Toad the Wet Sprocket open the show. Tickets ($36.50-$42.50) are on sale now.
